Patrick B. McCormick, CLU
Senior Vice President, Sales and Distribution
Pat McCormick is senior vice president of sales and distribution for Symetra Financial’s insurance subsidiaries. He has been responsible for business production through independent agents, broker/dealers, registered investment advisors, financial institutions, third-party administrators and specialty brokers since 1999. In addition, he oversees bank channel management, Symetra’s Sales Center, and the company’s full-service broker/dealer, Symetra Investment Services.
McCormick joined Symetra Financial in 1985 as an individual life insurance specialist and held several managerial positions throughout the individual life department, including vice president. In 1998, he was named vice president of independent agent distribution and subsequently moved into his current role.
McCormick holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation and is a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the American Society of CLU and ChFCs, the National Association of Life Underwriters, and the Seattle Association of Life Underwriters.
He serves on the board of Senior Services and is a former board member for the Disability Fund. McCormick is also active in his church, holding several committee positions, and with local school programs.
